Job summary

Kurita America is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support routine testing of water and related samples for our customers and field sales team.

The role involves logging and preparing samples, performing pH, conductivity, hardness analyses, calibrating instruments, and recording data for report generation. A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field is preferred, with 0–1 year of lab experience, strong attention to detail, and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry degree preferred.
  • 0–1 years’ experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Hard worker, ability to multitask, able to function in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures and laboratory standard operating procedures.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and be a strong team player.
  • Able to work efficiently, complete work on time, and maintain a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Log and prepare samples for analysis.
  • Conduct routine testing such as pH, conductivity, hardness, and other ions on water and other samples as well as prepare samples for advanced analysis by senior laboratory associates.
  • Calibrate equipment, load & monitor automated laboratory instruments, make observations, record data, and interpret test results.
  • Perform and report corrosion coupon analysis.
  • General lab duties include: cleaning of glassware, prep and shipping of samples, and organizing, pouring, and labeling reagent chemicals.
  • Accurately compile data, organize information, and perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned by supervisor.
