American Water is seeking a Water Quality & Environmental Compliance: Customer Experience Program Manager in New Jersey. The role leads investigations of drinking water concerns, coordinating with Operations and Water Quality teams, and communicating with customers and regulators to ensure timely resolution and maintained compliance.

The position emphasizes field coordination, regulatory documentation, and cross-connection control support, with a hybrid 3:2 schedule and potential regional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum five years of experience in water, wastewater, and laboratory operations.
• Regulatory knowledge of proper lab analytical testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of customer water quality complaints, ensuring timely investigation, response, and resolution.
• Serve as primary liaison between customers, field operations, water quality staff, customer service, and regulators.
• Coordinate field investigations, sampling activities, and corrective actions to address concerns and identify root causes.
• Monitor complaint trends and respond to regulatory inquiries with accurate documentation.
• Communicate water quality findings and actions to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support cross-connection control and other environmental compliance programs as assigned.
