Job summary

Iowa-Soybean Association is seeking a Research Technician to support the ISA Research Center for Farming Innovation with water quality and crop research. You will run water samples in a laboratory setting, collect soil and water samples, and manage submission to external labs, ensuring proper data processing per SOPs.

Field sampling and data processing for on-farm strip trials are expected, with travel across the state.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in biological, chemical, environmental sciences, agronomy, or related field.
• Ability to learn sample analysis procedures and follow detailed oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses on water samples following QA protocols.
• Operate, calibrate, and document automated sampling equipment.
• Assist with field-based water sampling.
• Maintain data management, sample tracking, and reporting per SOPs/QAPPs.
• Manage and catalog data related to research trials and analyses.
