Job summary

CK Associates in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Water Quality Consultant to help clients navigate regulatory permitting and compliance challenges across Texas and the Gulf Coast. You will manage projects, perform technical analyses, and build strong client relationships.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in environmental consulting, strong writing and communication skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Three (3) or more years of environmental consulting experience with water quality permitting, compliance, or related environmental projects.
• Experience with water quality permitting, industrial wastewater compliance, stormwater compliance, groundwater investigations, surface water monitoring, or environmental sampling.
• Working knowledge of the Clean Water Act and TPDES/NPDES permitting programs.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional client service.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support water quality permitting and compliance projects from planning through completion.
• Prepare permit applications, compliance reports, technical memoranda, and regulatory correspondence.
• Coordinate and conduct water quality, groundwater, stormwater, and wastewater monitoring programs and field investigations.
• Evaluate environmental data and develop technical analyses and recommendations.
