Job summary

Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking a Water Quality Protection and Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory responses to illicit discharges and coordinate with external agencies for prompt and full compliance.

You will supervise the Sewage and Wastewater Advisory Committee, provide water quality recommendations to the Clark County Commission, and develop innovative programs to preserve local watersheds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental management, public administration or related field.
• Minimum five years of full-time experience in water quality programs or related field.
• Minimum two years of supervisory or management experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and related experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory response and enforcement for illicit discharges to the storm drain system with external agencies.
• Administer the Sewage and Wastewater Advisory Committee and advise the Clark County Commission on water quality.
• Design and implement new water quality programs; lead analytical studies to improve Clark County watersheds.
• Liaise with state/local regulators on permits; present comments on proposed legislation and regulations.
• Represent water quality interests on boards; build coalitions with agencies on regulatory matters.
