Job summary

ABC Home & Commercial Services in Austin is seeking a Residential and Commercial Water Quality Apprentice to learn to sell, install, repair and maintain water treatment systems while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will diagnose water quality issues, quote jobs, perform repairs, and document work with emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction in a full-time role within a longstanding family-owned company.

Responsibilities

• Learn to apply federal, state, and local codes on each job.
• Diagnose water quality issues and recommend repair, installation, or replacement options.
• Understand water treatment systems and installation processes.
• Quote jobs using a price book, collect payment, and submit paperwork timely.
• Carry out basic skills like soldering, pipe-threading, and safe tool use; perform water quality tests.
• Explain completed work to customers and ensure satisfaction; communicate issues to office.
• Coordinate with supervisors, dispatchers, CSRs, and customers for alignment.
• Assist in training helpers and maintain tools & inventory in the truck.
• Attend mandatory meetings and training; maintain licenses and certifications.
• Maintain PPE and follow safety protocols; present a professional appearance.
• Identify and report any damage to customer properties immediately.
• Keep work area clean and abide by company policies.
