Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking an entry-level Pump Tech to assist with water pump installation tasks and perform routine mechanical work on large water well pumps. This role requires adherence to safety and quality procedures and the ability to work outdoors in various conditions.

You will lift components up to 50 lbs, operate service trucks and pumps, and collaborate with a small team to meet project goals and deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL license (Class A or B) required.
• Experience on construction sites or outdoor work environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and quality procedures to maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Lift and move components up to 50 lbs; assist with heavier lifts up to 100 lbs as needed.
• Operate and maintain service trucks, cranes, generators, engines, pumps, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with crew and work independently to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate time, material, and documentation records.
• Assist in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of water pumps to minimize downtime.
• Load/unload trucks, transport equipment between sites, and set up for jobs.
• Collect and label water samples for analysis; ensure data integrity.
• Perform other duties to support team objectives and project success.
