Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager-Water in Woodcliff Lake, NJ to lead multi-discipline water projects, manage budgets, and mentor staff within an employee-owned culture.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a Bachelor's in Engineering, and 7+ years related experience, including at least 2 years of PM experience, with proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
  • 7 years related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years project management experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license must.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience required (Access experience a plus).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Active participation in our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct and monitor all aspects of multidiscipline Water related projects.
  • Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.
  • Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.
  • Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development to complete documents on schedule.
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work efforts with project team to ensure that the work is completed within the agreed-upon budget.
  • Work with the Business/Accounting Manager, Project Controller or Company Controller and Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures.
  • Supervise project staff and mentor less experienced engineers.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Project Manager-Water, we'll count on you to:

Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management, including complex water projects
  • Client relationships in the NY/NJ marketplace.
  • Candidates who reside locally in the NY/NJ area are preferred.
Required Qualifications

  • 7 years related experience
  • A minimum 2 years project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
