Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Water Operator II to perform routine operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities and well stations. Responsibilities include pumping control, chemical dosing, sample collection, lab testing, and maintaining records.

You will monitor equipment, adjust process controls, and ensure safe, compliant operation while performing housekeeping and safety tasks. Valid driver’s license is required; water license preferred or obtainable within 12 months.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• College degree in biology, chemistry, or environmental science is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Water Operator License preferred or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Operates water pumping mechanisms to regulate flow and pressure during shifts.
• Operates pumps, valves, turbines and electric motors to transfer and regulate water pressure.
• Monitors panels and adjusts controls to regulate water distribution.
• Cleans systems by backwashing at designated intervals and records data.
• Conducts water treatment activities and records chemical usage and water quality results.
• Maintains and stocks materials on trucks and equipment; performs housekeeping duties to keep facilities presentable.
• Collects samples and performs tests (pH, D.O., CL2) and adjusts processes based on results.
• Documents readings and enters data into database for records and reporting.
• Inspects equipment and monitors operating conditions to determine load requirements and detect problems.
