City of DeLand seeks a Water Plant Operator to run the water treatment plant on a shift and ensure safe, aesthetically pleasing water. The role involves chemical handling, daily logs, and potential light maintenance, reporting to the Water Production Superintendent.
The position is 40 hours per week, with a $27.17/hr wage and requires a Florida driver’s license and Class C Operator license, plus First Aid/CPR certification within one year.

This position assists in the operation of a water treatment plant. This position requires daily plant site operations in order to maintain safe and aesthetically pleasing water. Employee will be required to handle hazardous chemicals. The employee may also be responsible for the ground maintenance program, janitorial duties, and compound security on a shift. The employee reports to Water Production Superintendent.
