Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Piping Designer - Associate Engineering Technician for the Water discipline in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on developing plan and profile deliverables using Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation, supporting underground transmission and related civil design tasks.

Under general supervision, you will work with engineering teams to produce technical drawings, maintain documentation, and mentor junior technicians while adhering to BV

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate required.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports engineering teams under general supervision.
• Uses CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling to develop plan & profile deliverables.
• Creates and maintains technical drawings and project deliverables.
• Mentors junior engineering technicians.
• Ensures compliance with BV quality program and standards.
