Qualifications

• Minimum Age: 15
• Shallow Water Lifeguard certification required
• Maintain rescue skills at test-ready level
• Swim 50 yards non-stop
• Retrieve a 10lb brick from 5 ft water
• Swim across 10 ft underwater
• Exit pool without ladder
• 4 hours of in-service training per month
• Varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• English communication skills required
• Stand/walk 7–10 hours daily across surfaces
• Vision 20/25 or better
• Lift/carry 50 lbs for 25 feet
• Excellent guest/co-worker communication
• Willing to work outdoors in various weather
• Strong teamwork and ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies with teamwork and efficiency.
• Resolve guest concerns with positive attitude and swift service.
• Interact with guests individually or in groups, maintaining professionalism.
• Enforce rider requirements and restrictions clearly.
• Ensure safe operation of water park rides/attractions.
• Deliver friendly, informative announcements to guests.
• Keep work area clean to promote safety and reduce hazards.
• Assist with park cleanliness and end-of-day tasks.
• Complete attraction certification tests to 100% proficiency.
• Complete witness statements and required docs accurately.
• Maintain grooming and uniform guidelines at all times.
• Follow park policies consistently.
• Work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, sun, rain, wind).
• Perform Water Attendant duties as needed.
