City of Temple, TX is seeking a Water Plant Operator to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot the water treatment plant and related facilities. The role requires flexibility for 24-hour coverage, weekends, and holidays.

You will use SCADA to manage treatment, adjust chemicals, and perform lab work while maintaining strict records and regulatory compliance. A Class C Surface Water certificate from TCEQ and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class C Surface Water certification from TCEQ.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience with water treatment operations is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate and monitor the water treatment plant, distribution system, and storage facilities.
• Use SCADA to control processes and adjust chemicals in compliance with permits.
• Perform laboratory duties, maintain instruments, monitor quality control, and prepare samples for transport.
• Maintain accurate records and logs; report performance to supervisor.
• Assist with inspections and training of Water Operators I.
