Your role and responsibilities

Mission Statement: Responsible for sales of products/systems/services within the municipal and industrial water market in our Midwest Region, in accordance with our strategy. Build long-term customer relationships and manage resolution to specific customer needs and issues. Identify and develop sales opportunities and grow this vital market YOY. The work model for the role is remote. #LI-remote This role contributes to the Process Automation, Measurement and Analytics Division in the Midwest. You will be mainly accountable for:

• Being the local technical expert for flow, level, pressure, and water analysis products.
• Communicating with customers about delivery times, payments, and general terms and conditions, aligned with ABB’s offerings and strategy.
• Ensuring effective marketing activities and communicating value propositions to customers.
• Identifying and developing new market opportunities in the designated market.
• Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting cash collection and project management activities when needed.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ experience with knowledge or experience in flow, level, pressure, and continuous water analysis solutions in the water industry.
• Ability to leverage existing relationships in the industry to generate new sales opportunities for ABB.
• Ability to develop and implement structured sales processes and strategies to improve efficiency and success.
• Strong competitor knowledge; passion for selling and winning.
• Focus on end users: understanding their needs, goals, how they buy, maintain equipment, and partner with suppliers.
• Ability to build relationships at all levels within ABB, channel partners, and end users.
