Job summary

RDM Recruiting is seeking a Project Manager for a national water infrastructure contractor in Raleigh, NC. This on-site role involves managing multiple projects, from startup through closeout, with regional travel two to three nights per week.

You’ll coordinate schedules, submittals, RFIs, procurement, and budget tracking, partnering with field teams and owners. Experience in construction project management and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction project management or project engineering, with a proven record of managing projects and coordinating people.
• Ability to juggle several projects at once and meet deadlines.
• Solid understanding of construction materials and methods.
• Strong skills in scheduling, submittals, and document control.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, plans, specifications, and schedules, and lead project startup.
• Build and maintain CPM and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate submittals, RFIs, drawings, and procurement with engineering, drafting, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Take part in job cost reviews, monthly WIP, forecasting, and budget tracking.
• Partner with Superintendents and field teams on progress, safety, quality, and open items.
• Manage change orders, delay documentation, inspections, and project reporting.
• Lead closeout and post-project reviews.
• Communicate with owners, general contractors, and engineers.
