Job summary

Caliagua, Inc., an Azuria Water Solutions company, seeks an Estimator to prepare complete, accurate estimates for public works and private water infrastructure projects, from conceptual budgets through hard-bid submissions. You will collaborate with senior estimators, project managers, and field operations to develop quantity takeoffs and cost estimates, and to support bid strategy.

The ideal candidate has experience with Bluebeam Revu and WinEstimator, strong reading of drawings and specs, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil/Mechanical Eng., Construction Management, or Business Admin.
• 2+ years construction experience with purchasing management/ procurement.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu and WinEstimator; ability to analyze subcontractor proposals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate full project estimates for hard-bid and design-build pursuits.
• Review specs, drawings, and contracts; attend pre-bid meetings and site walks.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop material takeoffs for procurement.
• Build estimates in WinEstimator with company assemblies and rates; apply overheads.
• Prepare subcontract bid analyses for scope, cost, and price.
• Communicate with owners/subcontractors to ensure competitiveness; monitor addenda.
• Analyze alternatives to increase bid competitiveness; lead means-and-methods discussions.
• Understand construction means/methods; provide constructability insights and risk planning.
• Use cost history for checks; participate in post-bid reviews.
• Contribute to design-build preconstruction to ensure quality estimates and schedules.
