Hastings Lake YMCA in Lindenhurst, IL is hiring a Water Fitness Instructor to lead engaging and personalized water fitness classes, develop progressive exercise plans, and ensure participant safety. You will assist with facility setup, provide emergency support, and maintain your certifications.

Salary starts at $20.00 per hour plus a fitness pay plan and opportunities to grow within the organization.

Qualifications

• Must have current Water Fitness certification.
• Must be physically and mentally able to respond to emergencies and administer CPR and First Aid effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead water fitness classes with a personalized approach.
• Gives clear explanations of safe exercises and demonstrates correct form and provides safe alternate exercises.
• Sets up facility or equipment.
• In case of injury, accident, or illness in pool area and provides backup to lifeguards as needed in emergencies.
• Reports injuries and completes required procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
