Job summary

Right-Now Restoration of Houston LLC in Texas seeks a Mitigation Technician to assess damage, extract water, dry structures, and prepare sites for restoration. This hands-on role requires physical work, attention to detail, and clear communication with clients and teammates.

Responsibilities include documenting moisture readings and steps taken, operating equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA units), complying with safety standards, and participating in rotating on-call shifts, including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Training available for mitigation/restoration; prior experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• IICRC certifications (WRT, FSRT, AMRT) are a plus or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess damaged properties to identify scope of work.
• Perform mitigation tasks: water extraction, structural drying, dehumidification, demolition, moisture mapping.
• Assist with mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanup.
• Document work with photos, moisture readings, notes, and materials tracking.
• Operate equipment: air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA filtration units.
• Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure efficient completion.
• Follow safety standards, PPE requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate professionally with clients to provide updates.
• Participate in rotating on-call shifts, including nights and weekends.
