Job summary

Western Midstream is seeking a Water Field Tech to oversee the safe and efficient operation of saltwater disposal facilities. You will monitor injection wells, operate pumps and pipelines, perform routine maintenance, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, reading gauges, collecting samples, and coordinating with field operations. A valid driver’s license and ability to work an 8/6 schedule with overtime are required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of oilfield operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of injection wells and basic mechanical systems preferred.
• Understanding of oil & gas safety practices and environmental regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor saltwater disposal wells, pumps, tanks, and equipment.
• Inject produced water within permit limits and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor pressures, flow rates, volumes and temperatures for safe operations.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, pipelines, valves and meters.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and operational issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on pumps, motors and equipment.
• Maintain daily logs, injection volumes and pressure records.
• Collect water samples and assist with testing as required.
• Respond to alarms, spills, leaks or upsets promptly.
• Coordinate with production, trucking and field operations personnel.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety policies.
• Maintain housekeeping at SWD locations.
