Job summary

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Entry-level, though experience in construction/maintenance is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains water mains, valves, services, hydrants and meters; digs trenches and performs general maintenance.
• Learns and performs routine logging and record-keeping using forms or computer systems.
• Assists with emergency/distribution tasks, including notifying customers and agencies during shutdowns or leaks.
• Standby as part of an emergency crew on a rotating basis, capable of reporting to headquarters within 45 minutes.
• Operates various equipment and adheres to safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
