Job summary

Collier County is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform water utilities maintenance tasks, locate service connections, and repair valves, pumps, pipes and hydrants. You will respond to after-hours emergencies, operate a wide range of machinery, and manage equipment and materials for various projects.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience; fingerprinting and certs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs water utilities maintenance tasks: locates connections, repairs valves, maintains pumps, pipes and hydrants.

• Operates a wide range of machinery and hand tools to support department projects.
• Transports, loads, and unloads equipment and materials for work sites.
• Monitors inventory and initiates requests for supplies as needed.
