The City of Port Townsend is seeking candidates for a position in the Water Distribution division of the Public Works Department. With a strong focus on maintaining quality water infrastructure, the position entails both maintenance and customer service roles. JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision performs a variety of maintenance and repair work to the water distribution systems. The City of Port Townsend strives to provide a quality reliable infrastructure looking toward a sustainable future.

Maintenance Worker
$26.48-30.27 base pay range
$26.48-33.90 total pay range including maximum possible longevity
Minimum Requirements

Operator I
$32.21-36.44 base pay range
$32.21-36.08 total pay range including maximum potential longevity

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires being onsite working in the field primarily in the outdoors during all types of weather; repeated walking, bending, stooping and lifting; the ability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.; vision and hearing at level required to perform essential functions (may be corrected); and a full range of motor skills. This position may require working in confined spaces and require climbing and working at heights up to 100 feet.

* Teamsters initiation fee is $100 and monthly dues are 2.25 of hourly wage x the base hourly rate rounded to the nearest dollar.
