Job summary

HDR seeks an experienced data governance leader within the Water Business Group to shape data definitions, standards, and usage across projects. You will coordinate across SMEs, influence stakeholders, and drive enterprise-wide data practices.

The role emphasizes collaboration with technology leadership, ensuring data quality and governance while enabling AI use cases and automated workflows across Water BG.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in Water engineering or related data leadership roles.
• Experience building cross-functional teams and leading change.
• Ability to translate complex data concepts into clear guidance.
• Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture is required.

• Establish and coordinate SME networks to define data standards.
• Develop business-aligned data definitions for engineering terms.
• Promote responsible data use, data quality, and governance.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools.
