Job summary

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, on-call availability, and a background in restoration; IICRC certification is a plus. On-site work will involve both indoor and outdoor conditions across varied weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years restoration industry experience preferred.
• IICRC certification in water, fire, and mold restoration is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work on-call for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess damage.
• Conduct damage assessment noting structural and content impact.
• Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification per industry standards.
• Mitigate fire damage including soot and smoke removal.
• Apply anti-microbial treatments as needed.
• Communicate with customers about mitigation and restoration steps.
• Maintain accurate records of projects, time logs, and expenses.
• Ensure proper maintenance of restoration equipment and tools.
• Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and participate in safety trainings.

The Role

As a Mitigation/Restoration Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring properties affected by fire, water, and other emergencies. Your responsibilities will include handling the mitigation and restoration process, making a significant impact on the lives of our clients during challenging times.

Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to emergency calls.
• Evaluate the severity of damage and determine the necessary resources and equipment.

Damage Assessment

• Conduct thorough assessments of damaged properties, noting structural and content impact.
• Document damage through photos, diagrams, and written descriptions.

Mitigation Services

• Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification services following industry standards.
• Execute fire damage mitigation, including soot and smoke removal.
• Apply anti-microbial treatments.

Customer Communication

• Communicate effectively with customers, explaining the mitigation and restoration process.
• Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.

Documentation And Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of all restoration projects, including time logs, expense reports, and customer communication.
• Report project progress to Emergency Services Project Manager.

Equipment Maintenance

• Ensure proper maintenance and handling of restoration equipment and tools.
• Report any equipment malfunction or need for repairs to the supervisor.

Safety Compliance

• Adhere to all company and OSHA safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in safety training sessions and stay updated on industry safety standards.

Qualifications
