San Antonio Water System is seeking a Conservation Field Investigator to conduct irrigation and landscape water conservation audits for residential and commercial sites in the San Antonio area.

The role involves educating customers on water-efficient landscapes, scheduling irrigation, and connecting customers with SAWS conservation programs and incentives, with opportunities to engage in community outreach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of conservation/landscape/irrigation experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 6 months of related experience.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.
• TCEQ Irrigation Technician, Landscape Irrigator or Irrigation Inspector License within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct irrigation/landscape water conservation audits for residential and commercial sites.
• Educate customers about water-efficient landscapes and irrigation scheduling.
• Identify issues or conservation opportunities for other water-using equipment.
• Compile and analyze data to resolve complex water-use situations.
• Represent SAWS and present at community events.
