Job summary

MPW FEM is seeking a dedicated Water Blaster Technician for 3rd shift in Ohio. The role requires safe operation, setup of water blasting equipment, and routine cleaning duties to support production lines.

Candidates must have basic mechanical understanding, be able to read directions, and work with team on training new hires while adhering to OSHA and MPW safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Some High School Education acceptable.
• Understanding of mechanical concepts and applications.
• Professional oral and written interpersonal communications.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform water blasting and cleaning tasks as directed, including floors, equipment, and paint booths.
• Set up water blasting equipment, change nozzles and guns as required, and perform maintenance.
• Assist with on-the-job training of new hires and transfers.
• Keep work areas and break areas clean and organized.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and MPW safety standards and report issues promptly.

# Water Blaster* English## Job DescriptionTHIS IS FOR 3RD SHIFT. MUST SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH FLUENTLY FOR SAFETY AND TRAINING REQUIRMENTS**JOB FUNCTION:**The purpose of this position is to perform water-blasting work for MPW FEM.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:****1**. Continuously works in an efficient and safe manner.**2**. Performs “cleaning work” as directed including, general floor cleaning, cleans residue from underneath equipment, detailed cleaning of paint booth and ovens as directed by management, cover area cleaned with plastic and/or paper to enhance cleaning efforts, cleans “paint grates” in a caustic and/or through a process of water blasting, cleans and dresses robots, sets up water blasters and changes nozzles and guns as required and performs maintenance on the water blast equipment as required and/or as scheduled.**3**. Assists with on the job training of new hires and transfers.**4**. Keeps work areas and break areas in the cleanest possible condition.**5**. Perform other duties as directed.**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:****1**. Ensuring the work is completed in the time frame established, and the quality of the work meets or exceeds the expected standards of the customer.**2**. Follow OSHA guidelines and MPW safety standards.**3**. Ability to follow directions as provided by supervisor.**4**.
