SERVPRO Team Fletcher in Pekin, IL is seeking a full-time Water and Fire Restoration Technician to join our on-site team. You will assist homeowners and business owners through cleanup after damage from fire, water, mold, and more, with a mission to restore properties “Like it never even happened®.” We provide hands-on and online training, with potential for advancement to supervisory roles within a year.

A valid driver’s license is required and physical stamina is essential to perform the job

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to work long shifts, evenings, weekends or on call as needed.
• Valid driver’s license required.

SERVPRO Team Fletcher is hiring a full-time Water and Fire Restoration Technician!

In this position, you will be making a difference each and every day. We are the Heroes who help home and business owners through the cleanup process for fire, water, mold, and other types of damage. We are committed to making every type of property damage “Like it never even happened®!”

If you love helping people through challenging situations, are detail-oriented, and is a serious multi-tasker, you will thrive in this position. Our combination training program featuring online and hands-on learning will teach you from the ground up how to do the job and can prepare you for promotion to a supervisory technician position within one year. Pay increase for the promotion can be $2 per hour or more. Our growing franchise means there is great advancement potential for a person committed to growing a long-term career!

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging area and equipment for each project.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Perform production extraction, cleaning, and demolition processes as directed.
• Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work long shifts beyond 8 hours per day based on job demands.
• Ability to perform required after-hours and weekend work on a rotational and/or on-call basis.
• Ability to work long hours in excess of 40 hours per week.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to kneel, bend, climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
• Ability to work in cold or hot environments based on weather conditions.
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
