Qualifications

Job description

Operates all phases of the wastewater treatment plant on a daily basis. Responsible for making the correct operational adjustments in response to changing conditions and loadings. Immediately respond to alarms or out-of-range operating parameters. Maintain environmental compliance. Start up, operate and shutdown equipment. Evaluate data. This position only has supervisory responsibility when working out-of-position in the absence of supervisor. Shift work (no swing shifts).

Knowledge of wastewater chemistry, microbiology, math, hydraulics, sampling, chemical handling and process computer system.

Possess, or obtain within 6 months of hire date, the MO Wastewater Operator Certification D-level.

Possess, or obtain within 2 years of employment, the MO Wastewater Operator Certification C-level.

Possess and maintain a minimum C-level operator certification as condition of employment. Possess and maintain valid driver's license and driving record satisfactory to the District and its insurance company.
