This position will be open until filled.
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. In this role, you'll play a vital part in the ongoing operation of our city's wastewater treatment plants, ensuring their smooth functioning around the clock. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of routine and skilled technical duties in the continuous operation of the city’s wastewater treatment plant(s). The City of Roseville considers degrees from accredited colleges or universities listed on the U.S. Department of Education Database of Accredited Post-Secondary Institutions and Programs (http://ope.ed.gov/accreditation) as valid educational credentials.
For degrees from foreign institutions, evaluation by an accredited U.S. college or university or a credential evaluation service (listed at http://www.naces.org or www.aice-eval.org) is required. Verification must be provided during the application process or upon job offer.
Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will be scored via a Formula Rate Examination based on experience and education. Scores will determine ranking and placement on the Employment List. Additional assessments may include interviews, reference checks, background checks, medical exams, drug tests, credit checks, and other pre-employment requirements.
Some positions require a Police Department background check within 12 months of appointment. Candidates may be appointed prior to clearance but will be advised of limited access until clearance is obtained. Failure to clear the background check may result in termination from the City service.
