HDR is seeking a WTEM Business Class Director to lead wastewater treatment and effluent management initiatives across the business class. The role focuses on strategic leadership, technical excellence, and high-impact client engagement within HDR's water practice.

The position emphasizes coordination with market sectors, ongoing staff development, and industry collaboration to advance HDR’s capabilities and service offerings while maintaining HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture or closely related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Professional registration in architecture/engineering for technical leadership.
• Experience leading diverse teams.
• Collaborative with other HDR directors, managers and marketing teams.
• Commitment to HDR values and employee ownership culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build strong relationships with related business classes, market sectors, and operations.
• Lead technical risk management through reviews and advisory services.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development and application of technical tools, standards, and techniques.
• Mentor and assign qualified staff to projects and manage workload across offices.
