Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. in East Syracuse, NY, is seeking a Waste Water Technician to operate and monitor the site's waste water treatment systems, ensuring compliance with EHS standards.

You will collect samples, report readings, transfer chemicals, and respond to spills while maintaining PPE and safety protocols; training on first shift may be required, and weekend OT may be required.

Qualifications

• Understand and apply chemical processing guidelines and environmental regulations.
• Demonstrate technical aptitude with high attention to detail.
• Work well in a team and independently.
• Complete 12-module hazardous material training and forklift operator certification.
• Use computers to update electronic records and enter data.
• Able to sit/stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Read, write, and communicate in English for job performance.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting with machinery, noise, and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Operate the waste water treatment system with valves and pumps.
• Monitor samples and report batch readings, adjusting as needed.
• Transfer and dispose of chemicals following procedures.
• Respond to incidental spills and ensure proper cleanup.
• Complete site PPE and chemical safety audits.
• Inspect chemical storage areas and accessibility protocols.
• Participate in ongoing chemical, PPE, and hazardous material training.
• Transport chemicals within the site using hand trucks/forklifts.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow EHS manager guidance on PPE, chemical handling, and waste disposal.
