Job summary

gpac is partnering with a well-established food manufacturing company to hire a Wastewater Technician for the 1st shift. The ideal candidate will monitor and maintain wastewater systems, perform maintenance on pumps, and ensure safe operation in a fast-paced environment.

Eligible applicants should be mechanically inclined, able to troubleshoot, and willing to work overtime including some Saturdays. Competitive pay plus benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn on the job.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems independently.
• Experience around industrial equipment in wet or variable environments.
• Willingness to work overtime, including some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems.
• Perform daily oiling, greasing and preventive maintenance on pumps.
• Conduct chemical testing, drawdowns and jar tests for proper levels.
• Monitor pH levels, calibrate probes and document readings.
• Inspect pumps, water flow and chemical delivery; adjust as needed.
• Monitor wastewater system performance and record readings.
• Maintain chemical inventory and coordinate reorders.
• Complete required operation logs and documentation.
• Follow all food safety, environmental, and safety procedures.
