Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Houston, TX seeks a Wastewater Maintenance Technician to operate, maintain, and repair plant wastewater equipment and systems. The role focuses on safe, compliant treatment of wastewater before release and reports to the Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities include monitoring pumps and dosing units, executing preventative maintenance, handling samples, and providing timely repairs while adhering to safety policies and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; wastewater certs a plus.
• Minimum two years wastewater experience or environmental management knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Proficient with power and hand tools; able to perform basic math.
• Good verbal and written English; team orientation and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair wastewater equipment and systems.
• Monitor pumps, filters, and dosing units to ensure proper treatment.
• Respond to daily maintenance requests to minimize downtime.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Collect water samples and conduct tests (pH, chlorine, etc.).
• Follow safety rules and comply with regulations.
