Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is hiring a Wastewater System Operator for our Elm Creek, Nebraska area. Our Technical Operators perform various functions in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of the multiple plants maintained daily. This is a flex position offering 6-10 hours weekly. The job description below are the kind of tasks, duties, and responsibilities needed to be performed by Technical Operators of water supply & wastewater plants:

• Operate and maintain pumps, motors, blowers.
• Complete and followup on work orders and process control monitoring.
• Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours.
• Service and maintain equipment and overall plant.
• Clean sand filters and media filters.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls (with proper training and equipment).
• Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain of custodies.
• Log plant operation details, on computer and in writing; prepare reports.
• Monitor treatment processes and apply standard operational adjustments based on those results
• The Technical Operator position holds multiple levels, based on experience and state certifications.
