Job summary

First Solar seeks an operator for Recycling and Wastewater/UPW processes to support safe, efficient operation per work instructions. Responsibilities include installation support, troubleshooting, and process improvements to enhance safety and performance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and 1+ years of technical or industrial experience; associates in a technical field is preferred, with wastewater experience advantageous. Strong English communication required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
One or more years FS technical experience.
One or more years' experience in an industrial/commercial operation or a technical setting.
Associates degree in a technical discipline.
Experience in equipment maintenance and process troubleshooting preferred.
Prior industrial wastewater treatment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop a complete operational understanding of installed recycling and water treatment systems and equipment.
Ensure recycling, wastewater treatment and ultra-pure water generation processes run on target per the process plan.
Respond to process control alarms with basic course correction and escalation.
Collect data on process control parameters and adjust as needed.
Analyze process data regularly and implement course corrections.
Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day recycling and water treatment issues.
Perform standard tests to ensure proper operation of systems.
Perform minor maintenance and repairs including pumps.
Escalate major repairs to maintenance and engineering.
