Job summary

Wilson Engineers, a respected Arizona-based engineering firm, is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager for its Las Vegas, Nevada office. You will lead complex civil projects, develop designs and cost estimates, and manage from planning to delivery while ensuring quality and compliance.

This role requires a Civil Engineering degree with PE licensure and at least five years in water/wastewater design, plus two years in project management.

Qualifications

• PE license and civil engineering degree required.
• Minimum of five years' water/wastewater design experience.
• At least two years of project management experience.
• Experience with design of treatment facilities, collection systems, pumps, water, and wastewater master plans.
• Experience reviewing shop drawings, RFIs, and Engineers Directives.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex civil engineering projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop engineering designs, reports, construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and permitting documentation.
• Manage projects from planning through final delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
• Ensure compliance with codes, regulations, standards, and client requirements.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including design reviews and technical evaluations.
• Mentor engineering staff and coordinate design tasks to ensure timely deliverables.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead complex civil engineering projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative water and wastewater infrastructure solutions.
• Develop engineering designs, technical reports, construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, permitting documentation, and alternatives analyses for municipal water and wastewater projects.
• Manage projects from initial planning and conceptual design through final delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved.
• Ensure project compliance with applicable codes, regulations, industry standards, and client performance requirements throughout all phases of design and construction.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including design reviews, technical evaluations, and resolution of field issues to ensure successful project execution.
• Drive technical leadership, mentorship, and direction to engineering staff, coordinating design tasks and ensuring high-quality, timely project deliverables.

Requirements

• Civil Engineering Degree with Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Water/Wastewater related design and experience with construction-related engineering services with at least (2) years of project management experience.
• Relevant experience shall include design of treatment facilities, collection systems, booster and pump stations, water, reclaimed water, and wastewater master plans.
• Experience with construction-related engineering services with the ability to review Shop Drawings, RFIs, issuing Engineers Directives etc.
• Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software capabilities.
