Job summary

American Appliance Products, LLC is seeking a detail‑orientedWastewater & Plating Lab Technician to support electroplating operations and environmental systems. This role ensures chemical process control, plating quality, wastewater compliance, and reliable operation within the manufacturing facility.

The position requires hands‑on laboratory work, data entry, and adherence to SOPs and QMS; preferred experience in electroplating, wastewater treatment, and industrial manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Or High School Diploma with strong relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analysis on plating baths (zinc, nickel, phosphating).
• Conduct titrations and log chemical additions.
• Perform pH, heavy metals, and process control testing.
• Conduct Hull cell testing to validate plating quality.
• Prepare and manage chemical solutions and reagents.
• Maintain laboratory inventory and support ordering.
• Document and maintain lab records and reports.
• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment and pretreatment systems.
• Maintain proper pH levels and dosing for wastewater treatment.
