Job summary

Gulfshoresal is hiring Operators and Trainees to support Sarasota County's wastewater treatment facilities. You will collect, record, and interpret data for operation and maintenance records, collect samples, and monitor the SCADA system.

Starting pay ranges from $22.42 per hour for Trainee up to $27.45 per hour for Operator A, with potential increases by experience. A High School diploma is required, along with a Florida driver’s license; licensure within two years is expected for Trainee and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain Class C Water/Wastewater license within two years.
• Valid Florida driver’s license at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect, record, and interpret data for operation and maintenance records.
• Collect samples, perform laboratory analyses, and adjust as needed.
• Monitor SCADA system and respond to alarms and trends.
• Operate pumps, motors, valves, and other treatment plant equipment daily.
• Maintain plant grounds and facilities.
