Qualifications

• Must possess a Class C, Subclass 1 Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certification.
• High school diploma or GED, supplemented by coursework in wastewater subjects.
• Knowledge of wastewater theory and operations including activated sludge and disinfection.
• Valid state driver's license and forklift operator's license.
• Must possess PA certification and be able to work different shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operates WWTP under the direction of the WWTP Supervisor and Lead Operator, following SOPs and permit conditions.
• Performs operation and maintenance, monitors tests, and adjusts plant equipment to maintain compliant effluent quality.
• Keeps daily logs, records readings, and reports unsafe conditions; maintains clean work areas.
• Assists in maintenance tasks and shift coverage as needed by the WWTP Supervisor.
