Job summary

Veolia is seeking a qualified professional to supervise wastewater operations in the Highlands/West Milford area. The role requires coordinating maintenance, assigning crews, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and laws while maintaining safety standards.

You will work with Engineering to prioritize capital projects and collaborate with the EHSS team on safety programs. Strong communication and report-writing skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• AS/BS degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years experience in construction, operations, maintenance, and repair of wastewater systems.
• Minimum 2 years supervision experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule maintenance, installation and repair for water and wastewater systems.
• Assign work crews based on job requirements and workforce capability.
• Supervise and inspect maintenance and repair work to ensure quality and budget adherence.
• Receive work orders and determine materials and manpower needed.
• Manage PM and CM programs; dispatch and close work orders.
• Periodically inspect contracted work for quality and safety compliance.
• Order materials and equipment for installation and repair.
• Partner with Engineering on capital project prioritization.
• Support EHSS safety programs and site safety monitoring.
• Prepare reports required by VEOLIA and regulatory agencies.
