Job summary

Goldbelt, Inc. is seeking a Wastewater Plan Foreman to support the Bureau of Prisons in Texas. You will identify operational deficiencies, equipment issues, compliance concerns, safety hazards, or material shortages and notify the appropriate Government/customer personnel.

You will prepare and maintain logs, maintenance records, sampling and compliance reports. The role involves operating and maintaining treatment systems, performing daily checks and documentation, supporting permit reporting,

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain wastewater treatment systems per regulations.
  • Perform daily checks, sampling, testing, and documentation.
  • Assist with permit reporting and related submittals.
  • Perform maintenance of treatment equipment, pumps, valves, piping, and controls.
  • Coordinate with government staff and contractors for larger repairs.

Summary

The Wastewater Plan Foreman will provide support to the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) by identifying operational deficiencies, equipment issues, compliance concerns, safety hazards, or material shortages and notify the appropriate Government/customer personnel. Preparing and maintaining operational logs, maintenance records, sampling records, compliance records, and other required reports.


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions


  • Operate, monitor, inspect, and maintain assigned water and/or wastewater treatment systems in accordance with state, federal, permit, and customer requirements.

  • Perform daily operational checks, equipment readings, sampling, testing, process-control adjustments, and required documentation.

  • Support or perform permit compliance reporting, DMRs, sampling reports, and related submittals as assigned.

  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repair of assigned treatment equipment, pumps, valves, piping, tanks, controls, gauges, chemical-feed systems, and related utility equipment.

  • Use Government-furnished tools, PPE, supplies, materials, and equipment as required to perform the work.

  • Coordinate with Government staff, outside repair contractors, and other support personnel when larger repairs or specialized contractor support are required.

  • Follow all lockout/tagout, confined space, chemical handling, PPE, and site safety procedures.

  • Maintain professional conduct, dependable attendance, accurate documentation, and safe work practices.


Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge


  • The operator must maintain all required state certifications/licenses in active and good standing status throughout performance.

  • The operator must comply with all applicable permit requirements, environmental regulations, customer procedures, safety requirements, and facility access requirements.

  • Work Schedule:

    • Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or as agreed upon with customer, with federal holidays off.

    • After-hours work, emergency response, or call-back support shall be handled in accordance with applicable overtime rules, currently understood as 1.5x.




Minimum Qualifications


  • Texas Class C Wastewater Operator certification/license, current and in good standing.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
