Job summary

Pima County's Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department seeks a Permit Regulatory Compliance Coordinator in Tucson to lead the Industrial Wastewater Control team and enforce the National Pretreatment Program.

The role manages permit applications, monitors reporting and coordinates compliance data; a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and supervisory experience are required, with bilingual ability preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and one year of permit applications experience including supervisory experience.
• Relevant experience and/or education may be substituted as allowed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares permit application documents and issues permits for facilities.
• Monitors permit reporting and compliance with permit conditions.
• Drafts response letters and negotiates compliance conditions for permit violations.
• Reviews environmental laws, regulations and proposed changes for impact on operations.
• Coordinates collection, reporting and documentation of compliance data.
