The Ocean County Utilities Authority in Brick, NJ seeks an Operator Trainee I-III to learn the safe, economical operation of a wastewater treatment facility and its collection system. The position requires a high school diploma, with an Associate's degree preferred, and involves rotating shifts and on-call duties.

The starting hourly rate is $20.80, with overtime and shift differential offered. Strong computer skills and arithmetic are essential; training leads to full licensure as a wastewater

Qualificações

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Ability to perform manual work under variable conditions.
• Must read meters, charts and gauges and maintain plant operation records.
• Strong math skills; perform laboratory tests to monitor/ control processes.
• Proficient computer skills: spreadsheets, word processing, work order systems and email.

Responsabilidades

• Learn safe, economical operation of both the treatment plant and collection system.
• Operate rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call/overtime as required.
• Maintain and read records of plant operations and monitor process performance.
• Perform laboratory tests necessary to monitor and control plant processes.
