Job summary

Pacific Seafood Westport is hiring a Wastewater Operator I to support operation and maintenance of our wastewater systems in Westport, CT. You will monitor equipment, perform tests, and assist senior operators to ensure compliance and efficiency.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1–2 years of related experience, with preferred seafood-industry exposure and forklift/pallet jack operation. Full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits and safety training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalency is required.
• 1–2 years related experience in wastewater or a related field preferred.
• Seafood industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily wastewater operations and monitoring.
• Perform routine wastewater tests to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain chemical addition systems and adjust parameters as needed.
• Support sanitation, maintenance and downtime reduction efforts.
• Coordinate inspections with regulatory agencies and customers.
