Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• MA Grade 4M Wastewater Treatment Operator License required.
• Knowledge of MA DEP regulation of plan O&M is desirable.
• Familiarity with computers in a Windows based environment.
• Must be able to work outdoors, climb ladders, and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and observing operating conditions and adjusting process controls as necessary
• Troubleshooting of plant equipment and performing minor maintenance as necessary
• Collecting samples and performing routine lab tests
• Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements
• General housekeeping at facilities
• Maintaining accurate records of operations and maintenance activities
• Compiling monthly data for compliance reporting
