Job summary

Leidos seeks a Wastewater Treatment Operator to operate, repair and maintain a small-scale DAF wastewater treatment plant. You will perform O&M, monitor parameters, collect samples and ensure effluent meets permit requirements, working closely with site engineering staff.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years in industrial wastewater operations, a current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification, and the ability to work independently, including night or weekend shifts when required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years' wastewater ops experience.
• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with 8-Hour refresher.
• Ability to work independently and document field activities.
• Valid driverfers license and safe field work experience.
• Willingness to work night/weekend/extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the DAF wastewater treatment system.
• Schedule and oversee subcontractors for electrical/plumbing repairs.
• Document sampling, daily logs, and data interpretation.
• Assist with groundwater and storm water sampling as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Plan and permits.
• Communicate with site facility engineer and Leidos project engineer.
