Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator to provide full-time operation, repair and maintenance of a small-scale DAF wastewater treatment plant in Seattle. The role involves on-site system operation, data collection, and ensuring effluent meets permit requirements.

You will perform O&M, monitor parameters, schedule subcontractors, and maintain daily logs, with potential night/weekend shifts as needed. Strong safety and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of wastewater experience.
• Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification with 8-Hour refresher.
• Ability to work independently and maintain logs/documentation.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to work night/weekend hours when required.
• Strong communication and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the DAF wastewater treatment system and perform O&M duties.
• Schedule and oversee subcontractors for electrical/plumbing repairs.
• Document compliance, collect data, and maintain daily logs.
• Support groundwater sampling and storm water activities as needed.
• Follow site Health & Safety Plan and coordinate with engineers.
