Qualifications

  • NOCTI Mechanical Level 1 required before applying.
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
  • Willingness to pursue GA Waste Water Level III license.

Responsibilities

  • Under minimal supervision, monitor wastewater system equipment and perform routine maintenance.
  • Measure and monitor wastewater chemicals; report variances.
  • Operate pumps, dewatering equipment, compressors, and chemical feed equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping of tools, equipment, facilities and grounds.
  • Work in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Primary Function

Primarily responsible for ensuring quality control of biological waste water system through monitoring to ensure compliance with State EPD regulatory requirements. Performs preventative and routine maintenance on systems. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:


  • Under minimal supervision, monitor mechanical waste water system equipment such as pumps, motors, electrical components, etc; perform routine/ preventative maintenance such as adjusting belts, replacing belts, changing oil in pumps to ensure optimal working condition

  • Measure and monitor waste water chemicals; report variances to appropriate personnel

  • Operate pumps, dewatering equipment (tanker), compressors and chemical feed equipment

  • Maintain housekeeping tasks for work area tools, equipment, facilities and grounds

  • Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Education And Certifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Pass NOCTI Mechanical Level 1 required prior to applying for position

  • Valid Driver’s License with demonstrated safe driving record required

  • Must be willing to work towards GA Waste Water Level III license (attend training and take test)



Experience And Skills


  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial/commercial wastewater treatment facility required

  • Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in production environment required
  • Intermediate math (add, subtract, multiply and divide) and computer skills

  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours

  • Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character



Safety Requirements


  • Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs

  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required.



Physical Requirements


  • Stand up to 8 hours.

  • Exposure to wet and dusty environment.

  • Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling and crawling
