Job Description

Pro Resources is currently recruiting for a direct hire Wastewater Operator position with an established and growing company that has been operating since 1951. The company is seeking a compliance-focused and dedicated Wastewater Treatment Operator who is committed to operational excellence in a high-priority treatment environment. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment system to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the company's state-issued permit. In addition to wastewater operations, this individual will be responsible for collecting line samples and performing titrations in the lab. This is a career-oriented position with the opportunity to develop into a fully integrated management-level role as skills and leadership abilities are developed. The successful candidate will be on a path to manage a complete wastewater treatment program, including permitting, operations, inspections, and other program responsibilities once the necessary skills have been demonstrated.

High-Level Responsibilities

• Check various operational parameters throughout the plant
• Collect samples at various plant locations
• Follow all safety practices and safe job procedures
• Read and record operational data
• Monitor gauges and plant equipment
• Perform basic laboratory sampling and titrations
• Maintain operator logs and data sheets
• Perform assigned maintenance tasks inside the wastewater room

Experience and Requirements

• 1-2 years of wastewater operating experience required
• Indiana Wastewater Class B Operator Certification preferred
• Candidates with a Class A certification and strong relevant experience may also be considered
• Candidates hired without a Class B license must obtain and successfully test into the Class B Wastewater Operator License within twelve (12) months of hire or within a reasonable timeframe determined by the company
• Must be proficient in the use of computers and peripherals, including Microsoft Office products
• Must be a strong communicator and self-starter
• Must be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills
• Must be able to conduct inspections and communicate with state agencies
• Experience leading and organizing meetings is preferred
