WesTech Engineering in Eastover, SC is hiring for a Water/Wastewater Operations Technician. You will manage daily wastewater plant operations, including treatment, clarifiers, filters, and chemical dosing, while ensuring safe and compliant operations.

The role requires passing pre-employment screenings, valid drivers license, and ability to work 12-hour shifts. Teamwork and strong documentation skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and state wastewater certification.
• 5+ years water/wastewater experience, including 3+ years in field operations.
• Able to pass drug screen and background check.
• Must work 12-hour shifts with 2/2/3 or 7on/7off schedules.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to train others on testing processes and water treatment concepts.
• Strong communication and proficiency with MS Office.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Conduct water sample testing to analyze plant performance and optimize operations.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of plant activities.
• Calibrate mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment critical to operations.
• Diagnose and repair pumps, drive units, reducers, and valves.
• Perform jar testing and manage chemical injection equipment.
• Communicate malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Monitor water treatment parameters and adjust for pH, TSS, turbidity, ORP.
• Prioritize safety and participate in safety training.
• Use MS Office to document data and logs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Inspect gauges and flow meters to detect abnormalities.
• Collaborate with team and customers to ensure smooth operations.
